NEST Add is our special mix of volcanic minerals used to speed up the hydrated lime’s initial reaction of hardening and carbonization.
Info:
- Hydrated lime has one deficiency: it hardens very slowly.
- A natural mineral additive is used which is able to accelerate the initial hardening time of lime without losing the carbonisation capacity OF lime (CO2 absorption).
Our invention allows:
- Reduction of base binder from 60 to 25 kg per lot
- Lower material density and weight reduction to 240 kg/m3
- Porous product and therefore improving heat effect and moisture regulation
- Faster drying process corresponding to standard material
- Use of local lime, which makes it essential to save costs and reduce CO2 emissions from materials procurement and construction
- Hemp lightweight concrete NEST Crete with the additive NEST Add we produce has been laboratory tested and bears the CE marking.
